American Cherry Craft and Sewing Cart American Cherry

I love this sewing cabinet. I have relocated it to different rooms easily depending on the season. It's quite sturdy and was reasonably easy to assemble if you do that type of thing (wouldn't as a novice because of hinges and hanging the doors). One thing not shown in the pictures is that the left half of the table top folds down when the door is closed, making this cabinet fairly compact when not in use, and attractive to leave out on the side of a room. Note that the left side of the table can ONLY be used if the door is open. The door is the supporting leg. The door has a rolling foot always in contact with the floor, keeping the top level without putting undue pressure on the door hinges. Nice design. There is a decent latch that will keep the door from accidentally coming out from under table, so no worries about the project being dropped to the floor. The shelf underneath will fit most sewing machines easily, and is open backed for easy access to outlets. Quite functional and sturdy for a relatively inexpensive piece of furniture.

Floor Lamp

This lamp arrived today well packaged and easy to assemble. The light is indeed natural and
very white which is exactly what I wanted. I made the purchase because the price is reasonable,
and I wanted a floor lamp that I could adjust and read with. The base of this lamp is solid
and well constructed and the neck is easily adjustable. Note that the height is about 3 to 4 feet,
or stands about 2 feet above your chair or table - but this is perfect if you are sitting down
in a lounge chair and adjust lamp over book. With this lamp I no longer am squinting in yellowish
light.

Very happy about the purchase and price. Although this is only the first day of my purchase. The wattage
on the bulb also is energy efficient 27w - and seems to put out the light of a 60w (but more focused).

If you expect this table will be sturdy as the picture appears (as I did), think again. The junction where you adjust the table height is nowhere near tight, and it allows the table top to rock back and forth. Each time you put your weight on it to write, it shifts at that connection point. Very cheap and unbelievably annoying. You get what you pay for - but returning this thing is a nightmare once it is put together. Before taking it out of the box, make a diagram of how it is packed. If you are like me and expected it to be, at the very least, somewhat stable, I would avoid this type of table and look for something more refined to avoid wasting time and energy.

Studio Designs Futura

I found this table at another seller for less than the price listed at amazon.com (including shipping) and bought it. It comes unassembled and the instructions are not the best but if you take your time it is possible to complete.
The little side drawers are plastic and could be omitted to allow more leg clearance. The metal pencil drawer is large enough for most storage. The little plastic trays on each side of the table top are good for keeping current project tools easly available. I would have liked these trays to be wood (maybe I'll have some made).
The support frame has enough clearance between it and the glass top to place linkable undercabinet flourescent lights to make the table into a light table.
Make sure to buy a light fixture that will fit. I used 2 Lights of America brand model 7114 fixtures and a white poster board for a reflector. You could use the smaller model 7108 or use more fixtures for a larger illuminated area. Works as well as my light box.
This is great for tracing your sketches to make ink drawings or other art forms like a colorized finished copy of a drawing (no lines on your color copy to erase or hide)(remember to put a plastic sheet protector, tranparency or other clear film between your original and color or ink project to prevent spill or leakage. Also, this is a glass top so don't use it for cutting or other projects that could scratch the surface.
Over all I am vey pleased with this table. It has inspired me to draw again after years of making excuses.

Friendship stamp set

We gave this to our 3-year-old for Christmas. She LOVES it. She spends a lot of time stamping paper and then coloring in the pictures she makes. It's made of wood and very sturdy. It also comes with colored pencils and two stamp pads of different colors, which is nice. We are very pleased with this stamp set.

Brother CS6000i Sew Advance Sew Affordable 60-Stitch Computerized Free-Arm Sewing Machine

This machine is just fine for beginners or for those who will only use it sparingly. It's easy to use with a lot of fun stitches, but it's very very sensitive & doesn't like anything other than the best thread & light materials. The first day I got it it jammed up within 30 minutes but once I changed to a higher quality thread it worked fine-- for about an hour. As soon as I tried using some interfacing with cotton (a simple tote bag project), the machine jammed up again & I had to replace the needle. It ultimately finished the project, but there was some coaxing on my part. Needless to say, this machine doesn't like medium to heavy-weight material & you've got to use really good quality stuff on it, otherwise it will leave you hanging. On the flip side, I've made several sets of curtains and pillow cases with no problem.
